Car Show Revs Up at Spectrum Health Continuing Care

Staff members and volunteers at Spectrum Health Continuing Care (SHCC) are gearing up for this year’s annual car show.

The community is invited to join SHCC residents, patients and their families in viewing both new and classic cars from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 in the facility parking lot at 750 Fuller Avenue in Grand Rapids,. Last year, the event set a new record with 120 cars on display.

“Our residents and patients look forward to this event every year. It brings back memories of when they were young, what cars they have owned in the past or car shows they attended themselves,” said Jeff Mislevy, president, Spectrum Health Continuing Care.

SHCC residents and patients vote on which two vehicles will earn a special People’s Choice Award. Car enthusiasts who would like more information about participating in the free event are encouraged to call 616.486.3024.

Spectrum Health Continuing Care serves approximately 2,200 patients each day. The SHCC Fuller campus is home to 200 long-term care residents, in addition to 60 subacute rehabilitation and 30 long-term acute care patients. For more information, please visit www.spectrumhealth.org/continuingcare.
