Six Named to Spectrum Health Foundation Boards

The Spectrum Health Foundation and the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Foundation have added new community members to their boards. In addition, current Spectrum Health Foundation board member Davey Mehney was named board chair.

Jeff Bennett was elected to the board of the Spectrum Health Foundation. He established the Grand Rapids-based OtterBase, Inc., in 1998. Bennett is a member of YPO (Young Presidents Organization) and serves on the Hope Network Foundation Board. He also serves on the Advisory Board to Central Michigan University’s College of Business and the Seidman College of Business at Grand Valley State University.

The Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital board added five new members. Peg Breon is an active community leader and supporter of Spectrum Health. Breon chaired Gala 2006, supporting the Pediatric Endocrinology Program. Her community board service includes Pine Rest Foundation, Hope Network and the Grand Rapids Symphony. 

Gregg DeWitt is the president and owner of Data Strategy. DeWitt has organized the Kilts for Kids fundraising effort supporting Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.

Tim and Laura Feagan have one-year appointments to the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Foundation Board and will serve as chairs of the Foundation’s annual campaign. Tim is vice president and general manager of Clear Channel Media & Entertainment West Michigan.

Walter Perschbacher is manager of Greenridge Realty’s Lake Eastbrook and East Grand Rapids locations. He has a two-year appointment and was previously involved with the Foundation’s “Leading for Our Kids,” young professional group since its creation in 2006.
