Spectrum Health continues medical staff expansion

Pediatrician/internist and orthopedic surgeon join Big Rapids and Reed City Hospitals

BIG RAPIDS, Mich., August 9, 2017 – The newest additions to the growing medical staff at Spectrum Health Big Rapids and Reed City Hospitals are not only medical colleagues, they are partners in life.

The physician couple, Adrienne Aschmetat, DO, and Paul Aschmetat, DO, will be based in Big Rapids and will both begin seeing patients August 21.

Dr. Adrienne Aschmetat joins the team at Big Rapids Family and Internal Medicine with unique qualifications to care for the entire family. She is both a pediatrician and internal medicine specialist, with experience ranging from infants to older adults. She completed her medical education at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her residencies in internal medicine and pediatrics were at Beaumont Health System in the Detroit area.

He also earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgical residency at Garden City (Mich.) Hospital through Michigan State University.
