Spectrum Health Presents Free Community Seminars on Joint Pain

May 9, 2016

Joint pain keeps many people from participating in the activities they love. Spectrum Health is hosting its annual orthopedic seminar series to help people with specific hip, knee, foot, ankle, shoulder or elbow pain achieve a healthier, more active lifestyle.

“My patients often tell me they wish they would have addressed their joint pain sooner,'” said Christopher Sherry, DO, orthopedic surgeon, Spectrum Health Medical Group. “These seminars are a great opportunity to learn about Spectrum Health’s rehabilitation and surgical treatment options.

Each presentation will focus on injury prevention, technologies used in treatment and ways to relieve pain and restore function.

Seminars are held from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Calvin College Prince Conference Center, 1800 East Beltline Ave., Grand Rapids, and also are available through a live stream.

Pre-registration is required: www.spectrumhealth.org/events or by calling 616.267.2626, option 4. Live stream also is available atwww.shmg.org/events.

“We want patients to be pain free and have a good range of motion so they can enjoy life to the fullest extent possible,” said Dr. Sherry.
