State Rep. Hoitenga Honors Big Rapids and Reed City Hospitals for Exceptional Local Care

June 1, 2017

Bret Jackson of the Economic Alliance of Michigan, along with State Rep. Michele Hoitenga, hand delivered the 2016 Top Rural Hospital award and two State of Michigan special tribute plaques to hospital president, Mary Kay VanDriel. The recognition comes with honor for the exceptional care given to patients at Big Rapids and Reed City Hospitals.

Reed City Hospital is one of only 21 hospitals that earned the Leapfrog Top Rural Hospital award in 2016, and Big Rapids Hospital is one of over 800 hospitals to earn an “A” rating for patient safety.
