Community Invited to ‘How to be a Quitter: Breaking the Habit’

BIG RAPIDS & REED CITY, Mich., March 2, 2017 – You know that smoking or chewing is bad for your health – but just how bad is it? Tobacco use can cause more than 12 types of cancer and take 10 healthy years off your life.

Join our tobacco treatment specialists as they teach you how smoking affects pregnancy, your children and those you love. Learn ways to quit or help someone else successfully kick the habit during the March Helping the Whole You series.

This month’s presentation will be held at two convenient dates/locations:

  • Wednesday, March 15, noon to 1 p.m. at the Reed City Fire Department, located at 523 Morse Street in Reed City.
  • Thursday, March 16, noon to 1 p.m. at the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety, located at 435 N. Michigan Ave. in Big Rapids.

Community members of all ages are invited to attend these free presentations. Both sessions will include the same presentation. A free meal will be provided, and space is limited.
