Spectrum Health Pennock Welcomes New Certified Nurse Midwife
Kelsee Tharp, CNM joins Pennock Obstetrics & Gynecology
February 22, 2022
Spectrum Health Pennock is pleased to announce the addition of certified nurse midwife, Kelsee Tharp, CNM to Spectrum Health Pennock Obstetrics & Gynecology. Tharp is now welcoming new patients.
Tharp earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and her master’s degree in nurse midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky. She is a member of the Association of Women’s Health.
“I’m very passionate about evidence-based care and also about promoting the health and wellness of women,” said Tharp. “Nursing is such an essential role in helping to personalize each patient’s care plan. I’m looking forward to getting to know my patients in Hastings and the surrounding area and helping them with their family planning needs, whether that involves birth control, fertility options, prenatal care or labor and delivery.”
Prior to joining Spectrum Health Pennock Obstetrics & Gynecology, Tharp worked as a labor and delivery nurse for ten years at Spectrum Health United Hospital in Greenville and serves as clinical instructor in labor and delivery for Detroit Mercy University in Grand Rapids.
“We’re pleased to welcome Kelsee to our Obstetrics & Gynecology clinic in Hastings,” said Angela Ditmar, president of Spectrum Health Pennock. “Ensuring that our residents have local health care options is one of the hallmarks of Spectrum Health Pennock. Kelsee brings extensive experience in labor and delivery and is a wonderful addition to our nurse midwifery team.”
