Spectrum Health Opens Integrated Care Campus in Rockford
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., July 31, 2017 – Spectrum Health will celebrate the opening of its newest integrated care campus (ICC) – the Spectrum Health Integrated Care Campus at Rockford – on Tuesday, August 1. The new facility is located at 8501 Meadow Creek Drive, near Meijer in Rockford.
A ribbon-cutting event will be held at noon on Tuesday. The community is invited to an open house later in the day, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“It is exciting to be able to offer to Spectrum Health patients who live in this area the convenience of an integrated care campus,” said Tina Freese Decker, executive vice president, chief operating officer, Spectrum Health. “This facility was designed with the needs of our patients as our primary focus. Patients and their families have told us that they greatly appreciate the convenient design, locations and services that we are able to provide in our integrated care campuses.”
The ICC at Rockford will be open to patients starting Monday, August 7. The 30,000 square foot building will house:
- Spectrum Health Medical Group Family, Internal & Pediatric Medicine
- Spectrum Health Medical Group Urgent Care
- Spectrum Health Hospitals Radiology
- Spectrum Health Hospitals Lab
While the practices and radiology and lab are being relocated into the new facility, Spectrum Health Urgent Care is new to the Rockford area.
An integrated care campus is designed to enhance the patient experience. Patients can avoid traveling from location to location for additional health services. Physicians and advanced practice providers are located together in a state-of-the-art facility and are easily available for consultation when needed.
Design and construction on the project involved Tower Pinkster, JDH Structural Engineering and Rockford Construction.
Spectrum Health opened its first integrated care campus in 2012 at East Lakewood Boulevard in Holland. The Integrated Care Campus at East Beltline opened in Grand Rapids in 2014, the Integrated Care Campuses at Ionia and at North Muskegon opened in 2016 and the Integrated Care Campus at 426 Michigan in Grand Rapids opened earlier this year. An Integrated Care Campus in Ada is scheduled to open in early 2018.
