Ludington Hospital CNO elected to GLACHE Board of Directors

Helen Johnson, RN, MSN, NEA-BC, FACHE, chief nursing officer at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital, has been elected to the board of directors of the Great Lakes Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (GLACHE).
“I am so pleased to have been elected to this prominent board,” said Johnson. “The opportunity to help connect, inform and educate health care leaders in these tumultuous times is exciting.”
Johnson began working at Ludington Hospital in September of 2005 as a nursing supervisor. In 2008, she was promoted to her current role of chief nursing officer. She earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and is a board-certified, advanced nurse executive as well as a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
In her role on the GLACHE Board of Directors, Johnson will engage with health care leaders across Michigan to promote excellence in health care leadership while helping them build professional and organizational success. Her term will be for a period of two years, culminating December, 2019.
The American College of Healthcare Executives is an international professional society of more than 40,000 health care executives who lead hospitals, health care systems and other health care organizations. The Great Lakes Chapter serves health care leaders in western, central and northern Michigan.
