Spectrum Health Belding Family Medicine Resumes Full Services

Providers now seeing patients on-site.

BELDING, Mich., July 8, 2020 – Belding area patients can once again utilize Spectrum Health Belding Family Medicine to see a medical provider for in-person visits.

In late March, all services were temporarily moved from Belding Family Medicine as part of the COVID-19 response.

Patients needing to see a provider can call 616.794.0940 or visit findadoctor.spectrumhealth.org to schedule a visit.

Outpatient lab and X-ray services resumed at the clinic June 8. Hours for X-ray and lab services are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Provider visits have been occurring in Greenville, and the clinic staff is excited to resume office visits for area patients.

“We thank our Belding area patients for their understanding and flexibility as we’ve worked through the process of resuming all services at Belding Family Medicine,” said Andrea Leslie, president of Spectrum Health United, Kelsey, Big Rapids and Reed City hospitals. “Offering care close to home is a priority for us and we’re delighted to restart office visits.”

Visitors to Belding Family Medicine will notice changes due to the COVID-19 virus, as extra safety measures have been put in place at all Spectrum Health facilities, including:

  • Frequent and extensive cleaning, especially in high touch areas
  • Screening employees, patients and visitors
  • Requiring everyone to use hand sanitizer and wear masks, which are provided on-site
  • Having team members wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Setting up waiting rooms differently and restructuring appointment scheduling to minimize wait times and limit contact between patients
  • Placing appropriate signage throughout spaces to maintain social distancing
