Blood Drive at Spectrum Health Evart Clinic on March 17th

Michigan Community Blood Centers (MCBC) will hold their blood drive at Spectrum Health Evart Clinic on Tuesday, March 17th, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the MCBC blood bus. The bus will be parked in front of the Evart Clinic located at US10 and 95th Avenue on the west end of Evart.

First time donors are more than welcome. The entire donation process (registration, a brief health screening, blood collection, and time for refreshments) takes 45-60 minutes. Did you know that approximately 4.5 million Americans would die each year without life saving blood transfusions? And that every three seconds, someone in this country needs blood? On average, about 38,000 pints of blood are used each day in the United States. On average, one out of every five hospital patients will need blood. And every donated pint of blood will help 3-4 people so don’t delay, give the gift of life-give blood on March 17, 2009.
