Butterworth Campus Construction Update

Butterworth Campus Front Lobby Closes for Expansion and Remodel

Spectrum Health will close its Butterworth Campus Main Lobby Entrance on Michigan Street March 11, 2007 for construction. The project will expand the current front lobby as well as allow for a physical connection between the Butterworth Campus and the new Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, which is currently under construction. The front lobby project is expected to last approximately 12 months.

Patient drop-off and valet services are available at the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center Entry on Barclay Avenue. Patient and visitor parking are available in the North Visitor Parking Ramp on Michigan Street with access to the hospital through the pedestrian bridge over Michigan Street.

Additionally, outpatient self-parking is available in the Center Ramp, on Barclay Avenue. Outpatient drop-off and valet services are available at the Ransom Lobby Entry on Ransom Avenue. There is no charge to patients, for valet services at the Ransom Lobby Entry.

Spectrum Health greatly appreciates the patience of our patients and visitors as we move forward with construction of the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion, the new Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and a new main entry to Butterworth Hospital. Patients and guests should plan extra travel time due to these and other construction projects.
