Children and Teens Invited to Make Art for the New Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital

Children and teens are invited to help create art for the new Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital by attending one of six free public art making events.

Friday, February 19,’5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, March 9,’3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuesday, March 16,’3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, March 20,’3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuesday, March 23,’3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, March 27,’11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All events will be held at LaFontsee Galleries located at 820 Monroe NW in Grand Rapids. Art making space is limited and all events have multiple time slots. Please call LaFontsee Galleries at 616.451.9820 to make a free reservation for children and teens.

Participants will also have the opportunity to view Children Make Art for Children in the gallery. The exhibit includes imaginative, colorful artwork created thus far for the new Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. The exhibit is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Tuesday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is free.

Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, a member of Spectrum Health, is a Grand Rapids-based hospital serving children throughout Michigan. A teaching hospital, it includes more than 150 pediatric specialty physicians with specialized training in providing medical and surgical care to children in more than 40 pediatric specialties.
