Corewell Health Expands Role of Regional Leader, Focusing on Rural Health

Drew Dostal, MBA, FACHE, to oversee five hospitals and one integrated care campus.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., – Corewell Health™ has appointed Drew Dostal, MBA, FACHE, as the new regional market leader serving Newaygo, Mason, Oceana, Osceola, Mecosta, Montcalm and Muskegon counties.

Dostal joined Corewell Health in 2020 as president and regional market leader of Corewell Health Ludington Hospital, Corewell Health Gerber Hospital and the Corewell Health Integrated Care Campus at North Muskegon. His role now includes Corewell Health Reed City Hospital, Corewell Health Big Rapids Hospital and Corewell Health Greenville Hospital.

Dostal has more than 25 years of experience in both clinical and managerial fields. Previously, he was the CEO of Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico, a 106-bed hospital with a Level IV trauma center. Dostal also served as CEO at Ogallala Community Hospital, an 18-bed critical access hospital; and as CEO of Rocky Mountain Surgical Center in Bozeman, Montana.

Dostal is a U.S. Air Force veteran who received an associate degree in nursing from West Shore Community College in Scottville, Michigan, a bachelor’s degree in nursing and an MBA from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
