Corewell Health Lakeview Care Center Opening June 26

Ribbon cutting and tours planned for June 15.

LAKEVIEW, Mich., May 23, 2023 – The opening of the new $12-million Lakeview Care Center, part of Corewell Health™, is just a month away, and the community is invited to a sneak peek of the facility on June 15.

A ribbon-cutting celebration will occur at 3 p.m. on June 15, followed by guided tours of the 15,800-square-foot building. The care center opens to patients on June 26.

“We’re so excited to show this facility to community members,” said Andrea Leslie, president of Corewell Health Greenville, Kelsey, Big Rapids and Reed City Hospitals. “The care center will be convenient to patients as we’ll offer multiple services at one location and our team members and patients will enjoy the beautiful new building with state-of-the-art amenities.”

The care center will relocate the Lakeview Family Medicine practice, outpatient rehabilitation, lab and walk-in clinic from their current locations and provide space for specialty care services.

Lakeview Youth Clinic (LYC) primary care services will join Lakeview Family Medicine at the new site when services transition to the new facility at the close of business on June 30. Long-time LYC medical provider, Deb House, DNP, will continue to see patents at the new care center starting in mid-July.

“This plan allows us to take advantage of our new facility and gives our talented Lakeview Youth Clinic team members the opportunity to make a bigger impact locally,” said Jason Fleeger, director of operations. “Additionally, we are working to open an adolescent behavioral health clinic to offer counseling services to school students in the community.”

Justice Luttrell, PA-C, a medical provider at Lakeview Family Medicine who is a Lakeview native, can’t wait to move into the new facility.

“I think it’s huge for our community,” Luttrell said. “We’ll have a lot of care in one location, including physical therapy, so patients won’t have to travel very far to get the care they need. I’m super excited about it.”
