Corewell Health Spine Center Opens on Blodgett Campus

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., June 29, 2023 – Corewell Health™ is pleased to announce its new Spine Center on the Blodgett Hospital campus in East Grand Rapids is now open and accepting patients.

The Spine Center, located in the Blodgett Professional Office Building, 1900 Wealthy St. SE, will provide comprehensive and cohesive spine care for patients. The interdisciplinary nature of the Spine Center brings multiple health care providers and services together under one roof, including surgical and non-surgical treatment, physical rehabilitation, nutrition, sleep quality, social support, interventional pain management, pain psychology and more.

“In addition to acute care, we will focus on preventative and chronic care as we partner with patients throughout their spine care journey,” said Moises Googe, D.O., division chief, Spine Care. “It is our goal to be on the forefront of technology and technique so we can provide our patients with exceptional outcomes.”

Dr. Googe and other Corewell Health providers formerly treated patients in the Spine and Pain Management Center, which also was located on the Blodgett Hospital campus.

“This new and larger space will help us meet the needs of our patients and accommodate our growth in services and staffing. We are going from 21 to 32 exam rooms and from two to four rooms for procedures. The Spine Center also has an X-ray room and dedicated rooms for telemedicine,” said Jeremy Bainbridge, director of operations, Neurological Health.
