Corewell Health’s Facilities Top the List of Best Nursing Homes

Newsweek magazine’s 2024 America's Best Nursing Homes lists 4 Corewell Health Facilities in the top 20.

Grand Rapids and Southfield, Mich., October 6, 2023 – Newsweek magazine released its 2024 America’s Best Nursing Homes list and it includes four Corewell Health™ facilities that were ranked in the top 20.

Spectrum Health Rehab and Nursing Center-Kalamazoo Avenue in Grand Rapids was ranked second by Newsweek. Other facilities in the top 20 include Beaumont Health & Rehabilitation Center, Beaumont Commons in Farmington Hills (No. 5), Spectrum Health Rehab and Nursing Center-Fuller Avenue in Grand Rapids (No. 9) and Beaumont Rehabilitation & Continuing Care – Dearborn (No. 14).

Newsweek reviewed nursing homes in 25 states, listing and ranking the best nursing homes for each state.

The rankings are based on performance data, peer recommendations, management of the COVID-19 situation and accreditations from The Joint Commission and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

For the first time, resident satisfaction data for nursing homes, based on National Safety Goals from The Joint Commission and Google Scores, also was added to the scoring model.

Corewell Health facilities are designed to help residents restore and maintain the highest possible level of emotional and physical well-being.

The Newsweek rankings are intended to help families when making elder care choices for a loved one.

Newsweek partnered with global data research firm Statista to create the third annual ranking of America’s Best Nursing Homes.
