Diabetes Education Classes at Spectrum Health Registering Now for August Classes

Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital is offering a series of classes during the month of August for comprehensive diabetes self-management education by Lori King, RN and Kim Lombard, RD. If you or someone you know has diabetes, it is very important to have information to properly manage the disease. Diabetes support and education programs at Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital provide the latest information and give a practical approach that puts you in charge of your health.

Our Diabetes Self-Management Education Program will consist of three group classes over a three-week period with sessions on treatment options, nutrition, glucose monitoring, exercise and medications, and psychosocial adjustment. Pre-registration is required and the cut-off date for acceptance into the August class is July 28, 2009. Call (231) 832-8502 to register for this three-session program running August 5, August 12 and August 19, 2009. All classes run from 2 pm to 5 pm in the cafeteria conference rooms. There is no cost to attend. If you are unable to attend the August sessions, please consider joining us for the September evening sessions which will be held on September 16, 23 and the 30, 2009.
