Diabetes Education Classes at Spectrum Health Registering Now for June Classes

Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital is offering a series of classes during the month of June for comprehensive diabetes self-management education. The classes will be led by Lori King, RN and Kim Lombard, RD. If you or someone you know has diabetes, it is very important to have information to properly manage the disease. Diabetes support and education programs at Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital provide the latest information and give a practical approach that puts you in charge of your health.

Our Diabetes Self-Management Education Program will consist of three group classes over a three-week period with sessions on treatment options, nutrition, glucose monitoring, exercise and medications, and psychosocial adjustment. Pre-registration is required and the cut-off date for acceptance into the June class is May 20, 2009.  Call 231-832-8502 to register for this three-session program running June 3, June 10 and June 17, 2009.  All classes are from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the cafeteria conference rooms. There is no cost to attend. If you are unable to attend the June classes, please consider our August classes which will be held on August 5, 12 and 19 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sorry, no July classes will be offered.
