Free Diabetes Education Classes at Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital

Registering Now for March Classes

Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital is offering a series of classes during the month of March for comprehensive diabetes self-management education by Lori King, R.N. and Kim Lombard, R.D.(registered dietician) If you or someone you know has diabetes, it is very important to have information to properly manage the disease. Diabetes support and education programs at Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital provide the latest information and give a practical approach that puts you in charge of your health.

Our Diabetes Self-Management Education Program will consist of three group classes over a three-week period with sessions on treatment options, nutrition, glucose monitoring, exercise and medications and psychosocial adjustment. Pre-registration is required and the cut-off date for acceptance into the March class is February 22nd, 2010. Call (231) 832.8502 to register for this three-session program beginning March 1, March 8 and March 15, 2010. All classes run from 1:00pm – 4:00pm in the conference rooms at 219 East Church Street, Reed City and there is no cost to attend. If you are unable to attend the March sessions, please consider joining us for the April sessions which will be held on April 7.April 14 and April 21, 2010 from 9:00am-12:00pm.
