Situated south of the new McLaren Greater Lansing hospital, the Izzo Family Medical Center is a beacon of innovation. It houses national-renowned and advanced services that will bring further access to exceptional care in the region. The services include an Outpatient Imaging Center – a partnership with McLaren Greater Lansing and MSU Health Care – a Multi-Specialty Clinic by McLaren, and a Pediatric Specialty Center by nationally-renowned Spectrum Health’s Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.

Our focus at Gillespie Group is to provide creative solutions that will impact a region now and for years to come through collaboration,” said Pat Gillespie, Founder and CEO of Gillespie Group. “The services and use of new technology by McLaren, MSU Health Care, and Corewell Health here at the Izzo Family Medical Center will change health care for the community.”

The MSU Health Care at McLaren Greater Lansing Outpatient Imaging Center will welcomes its patients starting June 26th and offer the most advanced Imaging technology in the area. The 22,632-square-foot facility is one of the largest imaging facilities in mid-Michigan and includes four new wide-bore MRI systems along with a new PET/CT scanner which allows for faster scanning times for patient comfort. The MSU Health Care at McLaren Greater Lansing Outpatient Imaging Center will also include X-ray/General Radiology, Bone Density Dexa and Ultrasound with convenient appointment times. The partnership also allows for the training of the next generation of physicians and staff.

“Our partnership with McLaren Greater Lansing marks a profound commitment to pushing the boundaries of medical excellence and innovation,” said Seth Ciabotti, MSU Health Care chief executive officer. “This state-of-the-art facility reflects our commitment to providing the highest quality care to our patients. By offering advanced imaging technology and equipment, we can ensure accurate diagnoses, more efficient treatment planning, and an improved overall patient experience.”

Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital will expand its nationally recognized pediatric services in its Pediatric Specialty Center starting July 11th by providing seamless patient care from the new hospital’s Birthing Center through integrated diagnostic pediatric and adult services. Their pediatric services will consist of Biochemical Genetics, Cardio Electrophysiology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, Pulmonology and Rheumatology, with additional services being added in the future. Adult services will include Congenital Heart and Maternal Fetal Medicine.

“We are thrilled to be able to meet patients where they are, making care easy and convenient for those in the Lansing area,” said Robert Fitzgerald, MD, interim president, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. “We are grateful to our community partners for their collaboration and for helping to make this a reality.”

With its first patient being seen on June 26th, McLaren continues to grow its excellent care and innovative services through its Multi-Specialty Clinic. Their services will consist of internal medical, obstetrics & gynecology, general surgery, urogynecologist services, and imaging.

“The opening of the Izzo Family Medical Center is an exciting time for McLaren as it will expand and increase our community’s access to high-quality health services,” said Kirk Ray, McLaren Greater Lansing President and CEO. “The convenient location allows us to grow these services while also boosting the efficiency in which this care is delivered.”

“When investing in facilities and seeking collaborative partnerships, our focus is always on the patient and the services we can offer them,” said Chad Grant, McLaren Health Care Chief Operating Officer. “The Izzo Family Medical Center is the latest realization of these efforts, and we’re confident in the benefit this will bring to the Greater Lansing community.”
