Grand Rapids Chamber Announces 2018 Center for Community Leadership Award Recipients

Grand Rapids, Mich., (May 15, 2018) – The Grand Rapids Chamber is proud to announce the recipients of the 2018 Center for Community Leadership (CCL) Awards, to be presented at the upcoming CCL Fundraiser on Thursday, June 20, from 5 pm – 8 pm at Bissell Tree House at the John Ball Zoo, 1300 W. Fulton St. in Grand Rapids.

“These leaders have taken the foundational principles explored through CCL programs and have integrated them into their work and their leadership in the community,” says Megan Smith Jovanovic, VP of Talent Development at the Grand Rapids Chamber. “Our annual fundraiser is the opportunity to celebrate their contributions and inspire others.”

The CCL Awards recognize members of the community for exceptional work that makes Grand Rapids a community of uncommon greatness in the areas for community connections, diversity, leadership skills and systems thinking. The winner of the Distinguished Community Trustee award embodies the mission of CCL and demonstrates a servant leader and community steward mind set.

The CCL Annual Fundraiser, hosted by the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, directly benefits the scholarships that enable new leaders to grow and make connections through CCL’s various community leadership and skill-building programs each year.
