Grant Clinic Accepting New Patients

November 20, 2019

Jennifer Hudson, DO

Spectrum Health Family Medicine—Grant is pleased to announce that Jennifer Hudson, DO, is now accepting new patients at the Grant clinic, located at 230 S. Maple Street.

Dr. Hudson is a 2011 graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. She completed her family medicine residency in 2014 at Metro Health Hospital in Wyoming, Michigan. She is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Hudson is board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians.

“I’m pleased to be working in a rural health setting in Northwest Michigan,” said Dr. Hudson. “Helping families with their medical care is something I’ve always wanted to do. In my previous role at Spectrum Health as a nurse tech, before I went to medical school, I saw and interacted with, not only patients, but their families as well. Now as a physician, I’m interested in treating multiple members of the same family and helping educate them about their health in order to maximize their ability to be healthy and well.”

Dr. Hudson sees patients for a variety of illness, diseases and conditions, helping with diagnosis and ongoing treatment as well as referrals to specialists as needed. Her clinical interests include preventative care and decreasing health disparities in marginalized patient populations. She works with patients of all ages—newborns, children, teens, young adults and seniors. She also enjoys working with LGBTQ patients and has unique sensitivity to their health challenges.

Prior to her current position, Dr. Hudson worked as a family medicine physician in Sandpoint, Idaho.

“We are excited to have Dr. Hudson at the Grant family medicine clinic,” said Susan Vincent, practice manager. “She is a skilled physician and truly enjoys caring for patients.”
