Greenville Goes Pink To Support Cancer Awareness and Education

Pink It Sink It basketball games slated for December 18

Spectrum Health United Memorial Foundation has joined forces with Greenville Public Schools to launch the first annual Pink It Sink It fundraising event. Held December 18 at Greenville High School, the girls’ varsity basketball team will tip-off at 6:00 pm against Lowell; boys varsity match-up to follow at approximately 7:30 pm.

Pink It Sink It t-shirts are available for $12 at the Greenville High School athletic office and Jacket Depot, S&H Trophy, Spectrum Health United Memorial Foundation office, and the United Hospital gift shop. T-shirt backs can be personalized in honor or memory of a loved one, and can be facilitated by S&H Trophy for $3 plus tax.

Greenville varsity basketball players will wear sponsored shooting shirts during warm-ups and pink uniforms for the December 18 showdown. Greenville fans are encouraged to wear their Pink It Sink It t-shirts, while Lowell fans can wear their Arrow Force t-shirts.

Greenville High School Student Council will be selling lanyards and cancer support bracelets at all Greenville Public Schools, as well as the Jacket Depot.

Proceeds will help support cancer awareness and education, including the importance of early detection and making positive lifestyle choices. Spectrum Health United Lifestyles will facilitate education in the schools and community, as well as conduct a breast cancer support group.
