Health Pointe celebrates Grand Opening
Ribbon Cutting and Open House this week
GRAND HAVEN, Mich., March 1, 2018 — Health Pointe, a 50/50 joint venture between Spectrum Health and Holland Hospital, celebrated its grand opening today with a ribbon cutting that included leaders from Spectrum Health, Holland Hospital and other aligned health care partners.
Opening to patients on Monday, March 5, Health Pointe will offer convenient access and coordinated care to residents in northern Ottawa County and the lakeshore region.
“Today, we celebrate a milestone in our long-term relationship with Holland Hospital—one based on a shared commitment to providing high quality, convenient care in our communities,” said Tina Freese Decker, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Spectrum Health. “Our teams came together to create this new home for health that will meet the needs of Grand Haven for years to come. Our team of physicians and staff, who have been serving the Grand Haven community for 20 years, will now join Holland Hospital colleagues in helping to improve the health and wellness of residents along the lakeshore.”
The community will also get a first look at the facility during the public open house tonight. Health Pointe team members, including providers, will be on hand to answer any questions about the services Health Pointe has to offer.
“Our mutual commitment to this community, and all the communities we serve, involves much more than simply building a new, state-of-the-art medical facility,” said Michelle Doctor, vice president, Holland Hospital Medical Groups. “At the center is our shared mission of expanding local access and offering greater choices for high-quality, affordable health care.”
Health Pointe Executive Director Joshua Troast closed the ribbon cutting by talking about his personal connection to this project. “My family and I are residents of this community, and I cannot even begin to tell you how proud I am to be standing here. As a husband and a father, I want my family to have the opportunity to receive high quality care close to where we live, work and play.”
Health Pointe will provide patients with extensive primary care and urgent care services, as well as several specialty and ancillary offerings. Services include a lab draw station, a surgery center, radiology, endoscopy, orthopedics, general surgery, cardiology, ear nose and throat, audiology, urology, gastroenterology, colon and rectal surgery as well as neurology.
