Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Welcomes Neonatologists
Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital today announced the appointment of neonatologists Daniel Knee, MD, and Robert Langen, MD, to its medical staff. They provide care to newborns in the neonatal center at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
Knee earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed a joint residency at Nebraska Medical Center and Creighton University. He completed fellowship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Langen earned his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School. He completed his residency at the University of California at San Francisco and a fellowship at the University of Utah.
The Neonatal Center at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is the 10th largest in the nation. Staff includes nine board certified neonatologists and more than 200 neonatal nurse practitioners and staff nurses caring for more than 1,200 babies annually. It is home to Michigan’s only March of Dimes NICU Family Support project, a program providing a parent-professional action committee to guide program selection, development and implementation; parent-to-parent support and education materials.
Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is West Michigan’s largest children’s hospital, serving children and families throughout a 37-county region.
