Tune into the eighth annual Kids Come First STAR 105.7 Radiothon or stop by the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center lobby and pledge to make a difference in the life of a child during a three-day event. The Kids Come First STAR 105.7 Radiothon will air live on STAR 105.7 February 27 to March 1, 2007. All funds raised will benefit programs and services at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
STAR 105.7’s Steve and Sabrina, along with Tim Kiesling and other special guests, will broadcast the Radiothon live from the main lobby of the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center at 100 Michigan Street N.E. from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on all three days.
Throughout the Radiothon, pretaped interviews of families whose children have been cared for at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital will air. These stories will highlight more than 40 pediatric subspecialties available at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, including neonatalogy, hematology/oncology, cardiology, nephrology, trauma and others. In addition, the Radiothon will feature live interviews with several families and pediatric specialists.
Donors may come to the hospital at any time during the broadcast to make gifts or phone in pledges at 1-877-953-KIDS or (616) 391-2999 to the onsite phone bank staffed by volunteers. The community is also invited to join STAR 105.7 on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 6 p.m. for the final check presentation.
