Look Good Feel Better Cancer Support Group on March 7

The Oncology and Infusion Therapy staff members’of Spectrum Health, Crossroads Radiation Therapy Center and Paradise Salon of Reed City are holding their March 7, 2008 cancer support group for area women.

Look Good Feel Better is a free program that teaches female cancer patients beauty techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

The staff of Paradise Salon, located at 244 W. Upton, Reed City have volunteered their time to lead small groups of women through the practical, hands-on experience. Women learn about makeup techniques, skincare, nail care and options related to hair loss such as wigs, turbans and scarves. Each participant receives a free kit of cosmetics for use during and after the workshop.

The workshop will take place at Crossroads Radiation Therapy Center, across the street from the hospital on Friday, March 7, 2008 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
