Medical provider joins Lawndale office in Ludington

October 20, 2017

Ashleigh Tumey, PA-C, has joined the Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital Family & Internal Medicine office. She will work with Dr. Tim O’Callaghan, Dr. Amanda Overmyer, Dr. Jennifer Miller and Dr. Mary O’Callaghan at the Lawndale Street practice in Ludington.

While earning her physician assistant degree at Western Michigan University, Tumey studied at clinics throughout southern Michigan. Her clinical rotations included family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, psychiatric health, emergency medicine, infectious disease, cardiology, palliative care, women’s health and surgery.

“Ashleigh brings excellent qualifications to our office,” said Mary O’Callaghan, DO, Spectrum Health Medical Group northern region division chief. “Her outstanding clinical knowledge, communication skills and patient- focused approach strengthens our ability to provide team-based care to our patients and our community. I am confident our patients will enjoy working with her.”

Ashleigh is from the Traverse City area, so working in Ludington will allow her to practice close to home.

“I love the beautiful area on the west side of Michigan,” said Tumey. “Being able to practice in Ludington, close to my hometown and so close to Lake Michigan and the many opportunities for outdoor activities just really was a dream come true for me. I’m excited to start meeting people and very excited to begin seeing patients and helping them with their medical needs.”
