MichiganCIO Honors Corewell Health™ Executive with ORBIE Award

Grand Rapids, Mich., Nov. 2, 2022—MichiganCIO, a peer leadership network of chief information officers throughout the state, has recognized Jason Joseph, chief digital officer and chief information officer, Corewell Health System, as its 2022 CIO of the year for hospitals and health care organizations.

“The IT team at Corewell Health is an amazing group of individuals who care deeply about integrating the best and safest technology into the health care journey for all of our patients,” said Joseph. “This ORBIE award is a reflection of their hard work.”

Corewell Health, initially known as BHSH System, was created early this year following the integration of Spectrum Health and Beaumont Health.

The ORBIE honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. Finalists and winners are selected by an independent peer review process, led by prior ORBIE recipients.

“Every business is a digital business, and having inclusive, empathetic leadership is the X-factor that can elevate IT into a remarkable strategic differentiator,” said Ravi Pendse, MichiganCIO Chair.

MichiganCIO announced the winners in six categories. Learn about all the 2022 Michigan CIO ORBIE Award winners here.
