LAKEVIEW, Mich., June 22, 2020 – Spectrum Health Lakeview Family Medicine is thrilled to welcome Lora Hansen, PA-C, back to her home county to join the care team.

Hansen said the opportunity to work in and serve as physician assistant in the community she loves is something she’s very excited about. She is accepting new patients of all ages and looks forward to building relationships with families in the area.

“I like being able to establish rapport with patients and having that continuity of care where you get to know people and their families over time,” she said. “I enjoy that personal connection with my patients.”

The 2002 Central Montcalm High School graduate went to Michigan State University, earning a degree in microbiology, a field in which she worked for six years before being called to work in medicine. She went back to school and received her Master of Science physician assistant degree from Central Michigan University in 2014.

“I enjoy combining my love of science and love of people into one profession,” she said

Hansen most recently worked as a physician assistant for Great Lakes Medical Center Internal Medicine in Bay City the past five years. Coming home to work and live in a rural setting near extended family and friends has been a family goal,

Hansen and her husband Mark, who will teach at Central Montcalm Middle School, have two young sons whom they are excited to share the joys of small town living.

Hansen said the family enjoys camping, kayaking, gardening and spending time outdoors.
