New Medical Transport Chairs Purchased With Donated Funds
Patients receiving care at Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital are sitting a little more comfortably these days. Ten new Staxi® Medical Transport Chairs were purchased with $10,000 donated to the Spectrum Health Foundation by the hospital board, medical staff, and employees during the annual Employee Giving Campaign.
The Staxi® chairs are stronger, more durable, safer, and easier to maneuver than traditional wheelchairs. While the hospital still uses traditional wheelchairs when appropriate, these new transport chairs offer great service to patients of all body types and sizes that visit Reed City Family Practice hospital for emergency care or outpatient services.
