Pediatric Endocrinologist Joins Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital

Maala Daniel, MD, joined Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital as a pediatric endocrinologist. She provides care for infants, children and adolescents with diabetes and other endocrine system problems such as hypoglycemia, growth disorders and pituitary dysfunction.

Dr. Daniel is board certified in pediatrics.  She earned her medical degree from the University of West Indies in Trinidad and completed a pediatric residency at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. She completed a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo in New York.

Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, a member of Spectrum Health, is a Grand Rapids-based hospital serving children throughout Michigan. A teaching hospital, it includes more than 150 pediatric specialty physicians with specialized training in providing medical and surgical care to children in more than 40 pediatric specialties.
