Pediatric Epileptologist and Endocrinologist Come to West Michigan

Dan Arndt, MD and Yaw Appiagyei, MD, have joined Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Physicians, members of Spectrum Health Medical Group. Dr. Arndt is a pediatric neurologist and epileptologist. Dr. Appiagyei is a pediatric endocrinologist.

Dr. Arndt is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric neurology. He earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School. He completed a pediatric neurology residency and fellowship at Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. He also completed a pediatric electrophysiology and epilepsy fellowship at Denver Children’s Hospital. Dr. Arndt provides medical care for children with brain and nervous system disorders, and has a particular interest in caring for children with epilepsy and traumatic brain injury.

Dr. Appiagyei is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School in Ghana. He completed a residency and fellowship at Winthrop-University Hospital in Long Island, New York. Dr. Appiagyei provides care for infants, children and adolescents with diabetes and other endocrine system problems such as hypoglycemia, growth disorders and pituitary dysfunction.
