Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist Joins Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital

Ulrich Duffner, MD, joined Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital as a pediatric hematologist/oncologist. He provides care for infants, children and adolescents with cancer and blood disorders. He works specifically with children needing a bone marrow or stem cell transplant.

Dr. Duffner is board certified in pediatrics.  He earned his medical degree from the University of Freiburg in Freiburg, Germany and also completed a pediatric residency at University Children’s Hospital in Freiburg. He most recently completed a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.

Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, a member of Spectrum Health, is a Grand Rapids-based hospital serving children throughout Michigan. A teaching hospital, it includes more than 150 pediatric specialty physicians with specialized training in providing medical and surgical care to children in more than 40 pediatric specialties.
