Public Invited to Diabetes Presentation

Spectrum Health Healthier Communities is recognizing American Diabetes Month (November) by inviting community members to learn more about controlling their diabetes.

Seth Bernstein, an A1C Champion from California, will share his personal experience living with diabetes on Monday, November 9, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in room 8811 of the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center, 100 Michigan St. NE.

Bernstein will discuss achieving good glucose control, effective self-management of diabetes, and how to develop a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

The A1C Champions® Program, sponsored by sanofi-aventis U.S., is a patient-led approach to diabetes education. A1C Champions® are people with diabetes who share diabetes self-management and lifestyle strategies based on extensive training and their personal experience.
