Robert Veenema, DO Named Hospitalist for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital
Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital today announced the appointment of hospitalist Robert Veenema, DO, to its medical staff. Veenema joins Rebecca Bultman, MD, David Duffey, DO, Daniel McGee, MD, and Gregory Trowbridge, MD, in providing care for hospitalized patients who do not have a primary care physician or whose primary care physician prefers the hospitalist team to care for their patients while in the hospital.
Veenema earned his doctor of osteopathy degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital. Veenema is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in pediatrics. Prior to joining Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, he spent more than 15 years with Kent Pediatrics in Comstock Park, Michigan. Veenema is a resident of Grand Rapids.
