Ludington Hospital
SHLH foundation provides holiday remembrance opportunity
The Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital Foundation is starting a new tradition this year to remember or honor loved ones.
Foundation director Kaley Petersen announced the program to decorate a ‘Lights and Love’ holiday tree on the hospital’s south lawn. Each donation of $20 will add a two-inch globe light to the tree and a name to the honor roll of those recognized. The tree will be lit from December 1 through January 5.
‘The names of those remembered and honored will also be recognized in multiple ways,’ Petersen said. ‘The foundation has arranged for the names to be listed on the Ludington City digital sign on the hospital grounds, adjacent to Ludington Avenue. We will also feature the names on the foundation web site page, a listing in our new main lobby, and a listing in the local media.
‘The ‘Lights and Love’ program carries a dual benefit, as all gifts will support the hospital’s Family Birthing Center,’ added Petersen.
‘The holiday season is a time to remember and reflect on the special people who have touched our lives,’ she said. ‘We hope many in the community will remember loved ones in this way, and also give a lasting gift to families, mothers and babies through the Birthing Center donation.’
