Sixth Annual Ice Cream Social

The activities department of the Spectrum Health Skilled Nursing Facility in Reed City will be holding their 6th annual ice cream social with musical entertainment on Sunday, August 17, 2008. The award winning Eden Care facility that incorporates plants, animals and children into their unique way of caring for elders has their outdoor Eden Gardenwalk on the northwest corner of the hospital. Proceeds from the ice cream social will support the ongoing project.

The ice cream social will take place August 17 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. under the big tent in front of the Skilled Nursing Facility on hospital grounds. The Jack Pine Pickers who specialize in Old Time Country and Gospel will provide the music and invite everyone to bring their friends and family for an afternoon of great treats and good music. The Elders and staff of the skilled nursing facility will be selling both sundaes and cones and will be holding a 50/50 raffle.
