Spectrum Health Breaks Ground at Rockford Facility

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Sept. 19, 2016 – Spectrum Health will hold a groundbreaking event on Wednesday, September 21, at 11 a.m. at the site of a future patient care facility – the Spectrum Health Integrated Care Campus (ICC) at Rockford.

The new 30,000 square foot, two-story facility is being constructed at 8501 Meadow Creek Drive in Rockford.

The Rockford ICC will provide patients with internal medicine and pediatrics care, family medicine, urgent care, lab and X-ray services. The campus is expected to be opened in the summer of 2017. It is being designed by TowerPinkster and is being constructed by Rockford Construction.

“Everything we do is centered on our patients’ needs. We have many patients in the Rockford area and this new facility will enable Spectrum Health to expand on the services we are able to provide to them close to home,” said Seth Wolk, MD, president, Spectrum Health Medical Group.

An integrated care campus is designed to enhance the patient experience. Patients can avoid traveling from location to location for additional health services. Providers are located together in a state-of-the-art facility and are easily available for consultation when needed.

This will be the fifth integrated care campus constructed by Spectrum Health. Spectrum Health constructed its first integrated care campus in 2012 at 588 E. Lakewood Boulevard in Holland and in 2014 opened the Integrated Care Campus at East Beltline in Grand Rapids. The Integrated Care Campus in Ionia opened in June and the ICC in North Muskegon is expected to be completed in December.
