Spectrum Health CEO Earns National Honor

Award Acknowledges Leadership Contributions

Richard C. Breon, Spectrum Health President and CEO, has received the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Senior-Level Executive Regent’s Award.

The annual award recognizes ACHE members who are experienced in the field and have significantly contributed toward the advancement of health care management excellence and the achievement of ACHE goals.

Regent’s award winners are evaluated on leadership ability, innovative and creative management and executive capability in developing their organizations.  Recipients also are judged by their contributions to the development of others in the health care profession, leadership in local or state hospital and health association activities, participation in civic/community activities and participation in ACHE activities.

ACHE is an international professional society of 30,000 health care executives who lead the nation’s hospital, health care systems and other health care organizations.

Spectrum Health is a not-for-profit health system in West Michigan that offers a full continuum of care through the Spectrum Health Hospital Group, a collection of seven hospitals and more than 140 service sites; the Spectrum Health Medical Group and  mmpc, multispecialty physician groups with more than 400 providers; and Priority Health, a health plan with nearly 500,000 members.
