Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial (SHGM) Opens New Physician Office

Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial (SHGM) announced today that it has opened a new physician office for its Obstetrics and Gynecology providers. The office, located within the Gerber Memorial Hospital, at 212 S. Sullivan, Fremont, MI, began seeing patients on Monday, September 27.

The new office will house the practices of Tami Michele, DO, OB/GYN, James Patenge, DO, OB/GYN, Melissa Bayne, DO, OB/GYN and Midwife, Susan Wente, CNM, Dr. Ph.

Welcoming patients to a unique, new world of women’s health, the Team will provide, among other services:

  1. Pregnancy Care, Prenatal Care, Natural Childbirth Deliveries and/or C-Sections
  2. Well-Woman Exams with Pap Screening
  3. Evaluation and Treatment of Abnormal Bleeding, Pelvic Pain and Menopausal Symptoms
  4. Gynecological Surgical Services
  5. Family Planning Services

The Team specializes in a natural, family-centered approach to women’s health with an emphasis on individualized care, one-on-one communication and the attention women deserve for their concerns. In this new world the doctors and midwife will be eager to listen to patients’ stories and guide them in navigating all the stages of a woman’s life, from teens to mid-life to the golden years.

In our new, expanded, comfortable and modern offices we will be able to meet the needs of all our patients, no matter what their age or medical concern.”

The new office is conveniently located on the second floor of the hospital, next to the Family Birth Center, giving the providers and staff immediate, direct access to new moms during their birthing experience, and

also access to the physicians’ surgery patients in the hospital nursing units. The hospital location also makes for easy patient access to lab screenings, diagnostic imaging needs and other services necessary to help patients stay healthy.
