Spectrum Health Hosts Free Spine Care Series

Spectrum Health is holding a series of free seminars about spine care.

The public is invited to learn about current treatments, therapies and surgical procedures that can alleviate back and neck pain. Back and neck problems affect nearly 80 percent of American adults.

If you have low back or leg pain, and have found that conservative treatments are not providing the relief you need, join Dr. Easton as he shares information about new spinal fusion surgical techniques. Learn how these minimally invasive procedures can result in smaller incisions and shorter hospital stays.

Back and neck pain are among the most common reasons for doctor visits. If you are suffering and want relief, join Dr. VandenBerg as he discusses various causes of back and neck pain, tests that can help evaluate the pain and common treatment options, including physical therapy.

Scoliosis (side to side curve) and kyphosis (roundback) are two common types of spinal deformity that can cause discomfort and may require treatment. Dr. Russo will talk about how these spinal conditions occur, what treatment options are available and when surgery is the answer.

Preregistration is required for each seminar. Register by calling 616.267.2626 and selecting option 4.
