Spectrum Health Medical Group Adds General Surgeon
David Scheeres, MD, has joined the Spectrum Health Medical Group effective today.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Scheeres to our group,” said James M. Tucci, MD, MMM, president, Spectrum Health Medical Group. “Dr. Scheeres brings invaluable experience as a general surgeon and medical educator that will help reinforce our comprehensive, patient-centered care and our academic aspirations.”
Dr.Scheeres’ office will be located at 1000 East Paris Avenue, Suite 150.
Dr. Scheeres earned his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He served his surgical residency at Butterworth Hospital and Michigan State University. He also completed fellowships at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Scheeres is an associate professor of surgery at Michigan State University College of Human medicine, Grand Rapids Campus.
The Spectrum Health Medical Group employs more than 90 physicians and mid-level providers, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
