Spectrum Health Medical Group Announces Additional Providers

The Spectrum Health Medical Group has recently added several primary care specialists.

“There is a growing need for primary care physicians to provide a ‘medical home’ – a consistent source of care for preventative check ups, and treating illness and chronic disease,” said James M. Tucci, MD, MMM, president, Spectrum Health Medical Group. “We are very pleased that Spectrum Health will be able to offer expanded primary care services throughout the community with the help of these new physicians.”

The Spectrum Health Medical Group employs approximately 80 physicians and mid-level providers, such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

“These new providers are helping us in our goal of delivering top quality primary care throughout West Michigan,” said Kenneth J. Fawcett, Jr., MD, department chair, Spectrum Health Medical Group Primary Care Department. “We are building on our established network of primary care providers to serve individuals and families in their local communities.”

Dr. DeFrang received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

 

Stacie Griemsman, MD

2249 Wealthy St. SE, Suite 110, East Grand Rapids

Dr. Griemsman received her medical degree from the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University.

 

Angela Oostema, MD

Campustowne Center
4868 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale

Dr. Oostema received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine.

 

Brian Petroelje, MD

Infectious Disease Specialists

Dr. Petroelje earned his medical degree at the Wayne State University School of Medicine.

 

Stephen PreFontaine, DO
