Spectrum Health Medical Group Launches Sparta Construction
The Spectrum Health Medical Group is holding a groundbreaking ceremony at noon tomorrow, Friday, October 30, in Sparta.
Officials are celebrating the start of construction on a new facility at 2111 12 Mile Road in Sparta.
The new 13,000-square-foot building will include six physician offices and 20 exam rooms. It will enable two Spectrum Health Medical Group primary care offices that are already located in the community to merge in one space. Services to existing and new patients will expand to include physical rehabilitation, x-ray imaging and a blood draw laboratory.
“Our goal is to provide the best service possible to our patients in Sparta and the surrounding community,” said James M. Tucci, MD, MMM, president, Spectrum Health Medical Group. “This new facility will enable us to conveniently locate all of our services together in one building, making access and care integration better for patients.”
The Spectrum Health Medical Group employs more than 90 physicians and mid-level providers, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Spectrum Health is a not-for-profit health system in West Michigan that offers a full continuum of care through the Spectrum Health Hospital Group, a collection of seven hospitals and more than 140 service sites; the Spectrum Health Medical Group and mmpc, multispecialty physician groups with more than 400 providers; and Priority Health, a health plan with nearly 500,000 members.
