Spectrum Health Medical Group Physician Receives MSU Honor

Lee P. Begrow, DO, has been named the 2010 Distinguished Alumni by Michigan State University’s Lyman Briggs College. Begrow is a family physician with Spectrum Health Medical Group.

“Dr. Begrow is being recognized for achieving the highest level of professional accomplishment and for making a positive impact in his community,” said Elizabeth Simmons, PhD., dean, Lyman Briggs College.

Lyman Briggs College (LBC) is an undergraduate residential college for the study of science in the context of society. Begrow is a 1981 graduate of LBC. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 1985 from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.

“Lee Begrow is a leader among our physicians. His experience has been invaluable in establishing our family medicine division,” said James M. Tucci, MD, MMM, president, Spectrum Health Medical Group.

Begrow practices at Spectrum Health Medical Group Family Medicine – Kentwood, 4600 Breton Rd SE in Kentwood.

The Spectrum Health Medical Group employs more than 90 physicians and mid-level providers, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
