Spectrum Health Medical Group Welcomes Operational Excellence Director

Spectrum Health Medical Group has added a director of operational excellence. Jayant Trewn, PhD, joined the Spectrum Health Medical Group on November 30.

“Jayant brings skills and expertise that will help us provide an excellent experience for our patients and families,” said Mark Kadlec, chief operating officer, Spectrum Health Medical Group. “His responsibilities will include operational and process improvement at our many physician practices.”

Trewn comes to Spectrum Health Medical Group from Beaumont Hospitals in Royal Oak, where he led the performance improvement program. He is certified as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt by the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Trewn received his bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Madras, India. He also earned a master’s degree in information systems management and a doctorate in industrial engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit.

The Spectrum Health Medical Group employs more than 90 physicians and mid-level providers, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
