Spectrum Health Medical Staff Elects New President and Vice President
The medical staff of Spectrum Health Hospitals has elected David M. Krhovsky, MD, president, and William L. Bush, MD, vice president. Both will serve two-year terms, which began last month.
The medical staff has approximately 1,500 members and has primary accountability to the board for providing oversight of the quality of care, treatment and services provided at Spectrum Health Hospitals and for ensuring a high level of professional performance by all members of the medical staff.
Krhovsky is an anesthesiologist with Anesthesia Medical Consultants. He is a former president of the Kent County Medical Society, Kent Medical Foundation and Michigan Society of Anesthesiologists.
Bush is a pediatrician at Forest Hills Pediatric Associates, PC. He also serves on the Helen DeVos Children’s
Hospital council and is on the Board of Trustees for The Gerber Foundation and the Medical Executive Committee for Spectrum Health.
Spectrum Health is a not-for-profit health system in West Michigan offering a full continuum of care through the Spectrum Health Hospital Group, which is comprised of nine hospitals including Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, a state of the art children’s hospital that opened in January 2011, and 190 service sites; the Spectrum Health Medical Group and West Michigan Heart, physician groups totaling more than 600 providers; and Priority Health, a health plan with 625,000 members. Spectrum Health is West Michigan’s largest employer with more than 18,000 employees. The organization provided $176.5 million in community benefit during its 2011 fiscal year.
