Spectrum Health Names New Head Of Hospice

Sylvia Simons, RN, MSN, has joined Spectrum Health Hospice as executive director.

Simons will be responsible for the daily operations and strategic planning of Spectrum Health Hospice. She was previously chief operating office for Holland Home. Simons has expertise in the areas of acute care, long term care, home care and hospice.

Simons earned a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Michigan and a master of science in nursing from Grand Valley State University.

Spectrum Health Hospice is the only hospice in Grand Rapids affiliated with a hospital system and staff provide care in hospitals and the community.
